A Marquette County man charged with domestic violence and burning his house down has been sentenced. Stephen Rautio of National Mine allegedly cut up his Christmas tree with a chainsaw during a fight with his girlfriend last December. He then stuffed it and other decorations into a wood stove. The resulting fire torched the house. Rautio was sentenced Monday to 60 days in jail for the domestic violence charge, two more days for the arson conviction, and one year of probation.
