Marquette County residents go to the polls Tuesday to select candidates to fill school board seats. In contested races, David Edgren, Cynthia Filizetti, and Walter Maki will vie for two, four-year terms on the Gwinn Area Community School District Board. In Ishpeming Public School District #1, James Smith, Lyle Warner, and John Waters are competing for two seats for four years. Meanwhile, Richmond Township voters will decide 2.4 mills over five years for general operations. If approved, the millage would raise an estimated $30,394 in the first year.
