An Ishpeming boy faces charges, after he shot out a motorist's window with a pellet gun. City Police say the incident occurred Wednesday around 11:30 a.m. on the 200 lock of South Main Street. A 35-year-old Eagle River, Wisconsin man was southbound when he heard a loud explosion and was hit by flying glass from his back window. City Police, as well as officers from Negaunee and the Michigan State Police shut down the downtown area and conducted a door-to-door search. Officials located a 13-year-old boy in an upstairs apartment on that block. The boy confessed to shooting the window with a pellet gun. No one was injured in the incident. The boy was turned over to his parents' custody, and faces charges in juvenile court.
