Two people are dead, following a two-vehicle accident in Marquette County. Troopers from the Negaunee Post say the incident occurred Monday around 3:05 p.m. on US-41 near M-94 in Skandia Township. An ambulance from Delta County was northbound on a transport to Marquette General Hospital when it rear-ended a tractor-trailer driven by Ronald Constantino, 67. The trailer was stopped on the northbound shoulder, waiting for traffic to clear before attempting a wide right turn into a driveway. Two occupants of the ambulance patient Carrie Roberts, 38, of Escanaba and crew member Lisa Hansen, 32, of Cornell were killed in the crash. The driver, Natalia Jauquet, 25, and another crew member, Ryan Peterson, 29, of Bark River, were taken to MGH for treatment. Officials say the ambulance was driving at a high rate of speed, and there was no evidence of braking or loss of control prior to the collision.
