Residents vote on local issues Tuesday
The Menominee Area Public School District has a proposal for 1.5 mills over ten years on the ballot. If approved, it would raise $390,0000 a year for the district.
In Houghton County, Calumet residents will decide three mills over five years for general operations.

Only three Upper Peninsula counties have proposals on the February ballot Tuesday. In Marquette County, the Gwinn Area Community School District is asking voters to approve 3.7 mills over 30 years. The district wants to borrow 17.9 million dollars in bonds for school improvements.The Menominee Area Public School District has a proposal for 1.5 mills over ten years on the ballot.
