MARQUETTE COUNTY, MI
(wnmu) -
Marquette County residents should check their peanut butter jars. The Food and Drug Administration has advised the County Health Department that certain jars of Peter Pan and Great Value peanut butter may be contaminated with Salmonella. The jars are stamped with product code 2111. Health Department officials have received local calls stating the product has been distributed in the county, but no local cases of food borne illness have been reported. Anyone who has recently consumed Peter Pan or Great Value peanut butter and has experienced fever, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps should contact their doctor immediately. Jars purchased since May of 2006 with the product code should be thrown out. For more information, call 866-344-6970. © Copyright 2013, wnmu
