The purchaser of the Republic Mine has no current plans for the property. That's according to Republic Township Supervisor Gary Johnson, who says Republic Mountain Lake LLC owner Roger Crimmins has hired an engineering firm to evaluate the property. Johnson says Crimmins plans to meet with the township board once plans for the property's future have been formulated. He says tax abatements could be offered if jobs are created in the future.
