A Schoolcraft County community has received funding for new water infrastructure. Germfask Township will use the $1.37 million to install a second production well, a 75,000 gallon accumulation storage tank, a pump station and water mains, among other things. Money for the project comes from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Development Program. Officials say the project will benefit 93 rural residents.
