(wnmu) -
In Wisconsin news, Hmong leaders are commending state and local law enforcement officials for their handling of the recent murder of a Hmong hunter. The January 5th murder of Cha Vang in Marinette County is thought by some to be racially motivated. Five Hmong leaders have issued a statement thanking area law enforcement officials, Governor Doyle and the Wisconsin Justice Department for responding quickly to the murder. The statement urges the media to accurately report on Hmong culture once the trial of alleged killer James Nichols begins.
