The warm weather and general lack of snowfall in the Marquette area has forced organizers to shorten the Noquemanon Ski Marathon this year. Director of Marketing Carol Fulsher says the new course is only 44 kilometers and ends at the Forestville Trail Head rather than the Superior Dome. She says they already have over 1000 skiers registered, but the shorter race could attract even more than last year. The race begins Saturday morning at the Al Quaal Recreation Area in Ishpeming.
