On Friday the NMU Board of Trustees approved a $204 increase in the cost of a standard, double-occupancy room and the Constant Meal Pass, to $7,646. Officials say the 2.75 percent rise is the lowest of any state university that has set room and board rates so far. The Board also voted to continue with current general and designated fund budgets, until the state decides what higher education institutions will receive in appropriations.
