MCSO offers anti-theft tips for "Black Friday" UNDATED (wnmu) - The Marquette County Sheriff's Office wants shoppers to be smart this "Black Friday." The day after Thanksgiving is the busiest shopping day of the year--and prime pickings for thieves. The Sheriff's Office recommends securing packages out of sight in locked vehicles; make sure handbags and purses are not left unattended for any period of time; if purses must be worn make sure it's a harness-type worn over the body and has a sturdy strap; and keep your drivers' license and credit cards in one pocket, cash in another.
