Charges dropped in Hawks Ridge case MARQUETTE, MI (wnmu) - All charges have been dismissed against 3 of the 5 defendants connected to the Hawks Ridge fraud case. The charges were dismissed Wednesday by Marquette County District Court Judge Roger Kangas. The 3 men free of all charges included 36-year old Ryan Bruns of Marquette, 48-year old Brian Swift originally from Escanaba and 36-year old Chad LaVallie originally from Kingsford. The 2 other defendants, 43-year old Michael Gokey of Marquette and 40-year old Joel Westrom also from Marquette are scheduled for a December 1st preliminary examination. All 5 of the men were charged with 4 fraud-related felonies in connection with development phases of the Hawks Ridge condominium complex located in Marquette. © Copyright 2012, wnmu
