Stupak to speak at Tech commencement HOUGHTON, MI (wnmu) - U.S. Representative Bart Stupak will be the midyear commencement keynote speaker at Michigan Technological University this weekend. The Menominee Democrat is retiring after 18 years representing the 1st Congressional District.

Stupak will receive an Honorary Doctorate in Environmental and Energy Policy at graduation, having served as a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee and Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee.

Tech officials say 242 students will receive Bachelor's degrees, 26 their Master's, and 18 students will get their Doctorates at the Saturday ceremony.
