Shakespeare Readers will meet on Wednesday, September 3 at 6:30 pm in the Peter White Public Library’s Shiras Room for a reading of “Love’s Labor’s Lost” by William Shakespeare.
Believed to have been written for a performance for Queen Elizabeth in 1590, the comic play’s central characters are the King of Navarre and his 3 friends who, attempting 3 years of study and fasting, try to avoid the company of women. In spite of their best efforts they become infatuated with the Princess of Aquitaine and her ladies.
Shakespeare Readers is a group for anyone who is intrigued with reading the works of William Shakespeare. They meet on the first Wednesday of each month and new readers are always welcome.
