The Peter White Public Library’s Film Club, welcomes the public to a screening of the modern classic film Michael Clayton on Thursday, March 21 at 1:00 pm in the library’s Community Room. George Clooney plays Michael Clayton, the in-house "fixer" at one of the largest corporate law firms in New York. He is burned out and getting divorced, but his mounting debt keeps him tied to the firm. Clayton faces the biggest challenge of his career when a firm attorney sabotages his multi-million dollar class action suit against a chemical company. Nominated for 7 Academy Awards winning best supporting actress for co-star Tilda Swinton, Michael Clayton was released in 2007, is rated R and runs for 119 minutes. Light refreshments will be served.
