The plot revolves around King Leontes and his Queen's friendly attentions to the visiting King of Bohemia. Despite being declared guiltless by the Oracle of Delphi, the King still banishes the Queen causing the death of their young who grieves the separation from his mother. Happily, the Queen's newborn baby daughter is rescued by a Bohemian shepherd who raises her as his own daughter. The play’s ending holds a few happy surprises.
