Wildflower Myths and Realities
(2008-09-01)
(WNKU) - Did you know that poison hemlock is so toxic that just three leaves can kill you? Or, that four native wild grapes saved the wine industry in France? Thomas Barnes is the author of Rare Wildflowers of Kentucky and an extension professor with the Department of Forestry at UK. Barnes presents a program about the myths and realities of indigenous plants and their conservation. WNKU's Matt Kelley talked to Barnes about what's happening to our rare plants in the Bluegrass State. © Copyright 2009, WNKU
