A world-renowned expert on the problem of global poverty is speaking at Vassar College tonight. Professor Jeffrey Sachs is a best selling author, head of the Earth Institute at Columbia University and a special advisor to the UN's efforts to map a plan to wipe out extreme global poverty within the next 25 years. He spoke with Hudson Valley bureau chief Susan Barnett about the opportunities hidden within today's problems.
