NIU’s School of Music hosts a concert featuring guests Ensemble: Périphérie, 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, in the Recital Hall of the Music Building. On the program will be recent chamber works by composers Irina Dubkova, David Gompper, and Giacinto Scelsi. The program also will feature three world premieres by composers Luke Dahn, Joseph Dangerfield, and Louis Karchin. The performance at NIU will be the first in a concert tour that will culminate in the ensemble’s Carnegie Hall debut in October. |
