The city of DeKalb recently approved a proposal to build a new masjid, or mosque, to support the growing number of Muslims in the community. As part of the fund-raising effort, the Islamic Society of Northern Illinois University is hosting a dinner on Friday, March 8th, at the Albanian American Islamic Center in Berkeley, Illinois. Ashar Usman and Faisal Hammunda will be guest speakers.
