The Kishwaukee Family Y hosts a DaughterSafe Workshop February 23. The workshop is a self-protection class for girls and women ages 6 and up. DaughterSafe teaches mental preparation, assertiveness training, self-defense techniques and Internet safety. The 2 1/2 hour workshop is high energy and visual with lots of hands-on training. Dress comfortably and bring a water bottle.
Pre-registration only as class size is limited.
