Two Children Die in Fredonia House Fire FREDONIA (wned) - Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a house fire that killed two young boys in Chautauqua County.

The blaze broke out around 4 a.m. Sunday in a two-story home in Fredonia.

Fire officials say the boys were trapped on the upper floor when emergency crews arrived, but heavy flames and smoke kept firefighters from entering the house. The boys' parents and a third child were injured while escaping the fire.

Police Chief Bradley Meyers identified the victims as Dawson McKinnon, 10, and his brother Clayton, 3.

The house was destroyed.
