Negative Message Not Received in Local Assembly Race
BUFFALO
(wned) -
Buffalo News political reporter Bob McCarthy says that voters were turned off by sleazy ads aimed at incumbent Assemblyman Sam Hoyt.
Despite the backing of the Responsible New York political action committee, Barbra Kavanaugh's challenge to Hoyt's seat was easily swept aside.
McCarthy also says that County Executive Collins showed his political influence in the primary win by Republican Jane Corwin in the 142nd Assembly district, and that Alice Kryzan, the winner of the Democratic primary in the 26th Congressional district, is suddenly her party's "golden child."
