Local Teams Battle for New York-Penn League Title

An hour's drive will take Buffalo fans to see championship baseball this weekend.
The New York-Penn League holds its 70th championship series this weekend. The winner will be a Western New York team.
The best-of-three series starts tonight at the home of the Jamestown Jammers. Game Two takes place at Dwyer Stadium, the home of the Batavia Muckdogs. Game Three, if necessary, will also be in Batavia.
Wayne Fuller has served the Batavia franchise since 1983 as a radio broadcaster, public address announcer and member of the board of directors. As a 16-year old high school student, he attended Batavia's last league championship in 1963.
