Hoyt Seeks Charges Against Political Action Committee
(2008-09-11)
Assemblyman believes Responsible New York violated election laws.
(wned) - A day after he successfully defended his seat in the State Assembly, Sam Hoyt went on the attack, calling for criminal investigations into the Responsible New York political action committee.

According to the Buffalo News, Hoyt's campaign is claiming the PAC violated election laws by coordinating with the campaign of his Primary Day foe, Barbra Kavanaugh.

Responsible New York has been accused of supporting the widespread public distribution of anti-Hoyt information, including details on the Assemblyman's extra-marital relationships.

Responsible New York is managed by former Erie Coutny Democratic Chairman Steve Pigeon, who told the News that the PAC "made sure there was no coordination" with the Kavanaugh campaign.
