BNE Issues Annual Report
The B-N-E, the economic development and marketing arm of the Buffalo-Niagara Partnership, has been existence for ten years. The group released its annual report Thursday.
B-N-E Executive Director Tom Kucharski tells WNED news his organization's ability to attract new jobs and save current jobs and the $70 million investment the jobs generate in the past year is worthy of note, given the state of the local, regional, and national economy.
"The majority of our investment and job creation was in life sciences. We have put a lot of energy and effort into growing our medical campus," Kucharski said.
BNE officials contend the data demonstrate that the region can more
than hold its own when it competing for new business and jobs.
Kucharski says it's proof that Buffalo-Niagara can prosper in a global economy.
