Though each had different priorities, both political conventions achieved their goals over the last two weeks.
That assessment comes from SUNY Fredonia Professor David Rankin, the co-author of "Winning the White House, 2004: Region by Region, Vote by Vote."
He has been surveying the political attitudes of college students over the last 8 years and believes the youth vote will be critical in the November election.
