Activist Thompson Files Suit Against Senate
"It really isn't a Republican or Democratic issue, as I see it. It's really just a disgrace!" Said Michael Powers of Buffalo's Phillips Lytle law firm, speaking on behalf of Thompson.
Powers will be filing papers in State Supreme Court , calling on the Senate to get back to work. The suit threatens to seek an injunction prohibiting the senators
from getting paid.
"This is just making a mockery of the Senate, making a mockery of the elections, and frankly, it's an embarassment to the State," Powers said.
