Capital Funding Approved for County Projects
in Erie County.
The County's Fiscal Stability Authority has formally closed the
sale of $103 million in bond anticipation notes. The money was held up
for two years in a dispute over the method of borrowing.
"It was a callaborative effort that lead to this," said County Comptroller Mark Poloncarz. "My office, the County Executive's office, as well as the Control Board, and, for that matter, legislative input. All branches of Erie County government were working to reach this result."
The move will free funding for improvements to Ralph Wilson Stadium, the Erie County Holding Center, County Correctional Facility, and Botanical Gardens.
