New York Greenfest Looks at Sustainability, Environmental Issues

ALFRED (wned) - The third New York Greenfest took place on the weekend of August 7th through the 9th, at Alfred University.

Click the play button above to hear the forum on "Sustainability and Sovereignty". The speakers: localism author Bill Kauffman, Seneca Nation artist Peter Jemison, Green poet and Buffalo native Mike Czarnecki and Green journalist Lynn Gerry.

Organizers say the event focused on sustainability and how to revitalize the connection between humanity and nature.

From the "Politics of Sustainability" to "Small Wind Consumer Education", the New York Greenfest held nearly 50 workshops.
