Tess Callahan Talks About Her Debut Novel

BUFFALO (wned) - Former UB graduate student Tess Callahan is receiving solid reviews for her initial novel "April & Oliver".

Though many first novels tend to be autobiographical, but Callahan tells WNED's Mike Desmond that the tendency does not apply to her.

The book looks at the travails of a troubled extended family living on Long Island. Callahan was in Buffalo recently to visit in-laws.
