Interviews recorded at the Wind Energy Forum sponsored by Appalachian State University’s Wind Project at the NC Arboretum March 7th, 2008 with Brent Summerville, Renewable Energy Engineer at ASU, Ann Waling of Accione Wind Company, and international leader in sustainable energy systems and Randy Flack, Western Representative for Congressman Heath Shuler, NC 11th District. We discuss the potential for large scale wind generation in North Carolina as part of an overall energy ‘mix’, the implications for stimulating new jobs and the economic benefits of reducing our dependence on fossil fuels and nuclear power.
