Michigan House, Senate pass different versions of Great Lakes treaty
The state House and the Senate have passed competing versions of a bill to enter Michigan into a regional Great Lakes protection agreement. Democrats and Republicans are still far apart on what they believe is the level of regulation needed to guard Michigan's water against large withdrawals.
