Hedy Habra, Janet Heller, and Shanda Blue Easterday will read their poetry and fiction, and John C. Griffin will discuss and play his musical composition "This Is Just to Say" for soprano voice and piano. The piece comprises three musical settings of poetry by the imagist poet William Carlos Williams. Also, Wessam Abdel Aziz will read Khalil Gibran’s “On Death” in Arabic and English accompanied by tabla and oud.

This free event is open to the public and will take place at Western Michigan University’s Center for the Humanities in 2500 Knauss Hall. The festival is sponsored by the Professional Instructors Organization. WMU is located at 1903 W. Michigan Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI 49008-5490.
