| Author Steve French offers insight into the four year Potomac River border war that seared the Lower Shenandoah Valley, portions of Western Maryland and the eastern panhandle of West Virginia during the Civil War. He will discuss some of the exploits of Confederate soldiers such as John Mosby, Harry Gilmor and John Imboden, as well as the adventures of lesser known figures like George Baylor, John Corbin Blackford and MIlton Rouss. This program is co-sponsored by the Friends of Handley Regional Library and the Winchester- Frederick County Historical Society. Books will be available for purchase. |
