First she lost her sight, then she lost her hearing. Ruth Silver ran the Center for Deaf-Blind Persons in Milwaukee, but not before confronting depression over her losses. She tells Jane Hampden how she copes and thrives.

And, as the baseball season resumes, we hear about a little-known Milwaukee baseball mystery from the turn of the century. Neal Pease is an Associate Professor of History at UW-Milwaukee. Not long ago he came across some photos of a little known Milwaukee baseball game. Local photograph Roman Kwasniewski took the photos at the turn of the century.
