SALT LAKE CITY, UT (kuer) - The annual McCarthey Family Foundation lecture series: In Praise of Independent Journalism is set for Saturday evening. This year's lecturers are National Public Radio commentator Daniel Schorr and Roxana Saberi, a free-lance journalist who spent four months in prison in Iran. Daniel Schorr who is still active as a news commentator for National Public Radio at the age of 93. He spoke with KUER's Dan Bammes.
