American Tourists Found Safe in China
Twelve American tourists are safe near the epicenter of China's deadly earthquake.
The World Wildlife Fund says the 12 have made contact by satellite phone from Sichuan province. They had been visiting the Wolong panda preserve when the 7.9 magnitude earthquake hit the province on Monday.
Britain's ambassador to China says some 15 British tourists are still missing in the same area.
The first rescuers to respond to the quake had to hike to the panda center in a remote region that's normally a four-hour drive from the provincial capital. © Copyright 2012, Associated Press
