Division of Charitable Solicitations
Any person or group that appeals to the public for support of its charitable cause is a "charitable organization". Persons or organizations that intend to solicit donations must register before asking the public for contributions.
Excluded from the requirement to register are religious institutions and affiliated groups; educational institutions and supporting organizations; volunteer fire departments, rescue squads and local civil defense organizations; and, organizations that receive contributions less than $30,000 annually.
(Excluded groups are required, however, to complete and file an "Exemption Request" form.)

The AARP Real Possibilities stage will feature a variety of local personalities sharing practical tips on topics including AARP’s Life Reimagined, health and wellness, and caregiving. Meet Me at the Farmers’ Market Presented by AARP, is a collaboration between AARP Tennessee and the Nashville Farmers’ Market. The first event will be held on Wednesday, June 11 from 8:30am – 2:00pm.
