Tenn. Secretary of State
Division of Charitable Solicitations
Any person or group that appeals to the public for support of its charitable cause is a "charitable organization". Persons or organizations that intend to solicit donations must register before asking the public for contributions.
Excluded from the requirement to register are religious institutions and affiliated groups; educational institutions and supporting organizations; volunteer fire departments, rescue squads and local civil defense organizations; and, organizations that receive contributions less than $30,000 annually.
(Excluded groups are required, however, to complete and file an "Exemption Request" form.)
For more information go to http://www.state.tn.us/sos/charity/co-info.htm
Only registered groups may post events.
You may submit your event here and have it shared with the world!
WMOT must first review and approve listings before they are posted.
Please see the legal notice on the upper left side of this page.
Holiday Fringe! On Thursday, December 19, Nashville Fringe Festival presents its last show of the year featuring two of Nashville's hippest groups.
6pm: Trombonist Oscar Utterstrom's writing mixes his Swedish roots with the American and world music, giving the finished product a unique sound. To top things off, the use of electric trombone and a DJ makes this group one of the most exciting groups on the scene today. www.oscarutterstrom.com
7pm: Emmy award nominee Michael Whittaker is a unique hybrid of his diverse upbringing. Growing up in Los Angeles California, he grew up listening to a diverse culture of music. At a young age, his training on piano began in both jazz and classical music. A true virtuoso on his instrument, Michael always brings a stellar group to play his funky compositions. www.michaelwhittaker.net
