Beethoven's Fateful Beginning Roy Goodman
Hope for the best at the beginning of Beethoven's 5th by David Srebnik It's the most famous, and at the same time the most treacherous beginning in classical music. Much has been written about the first four notes of Beethoven's 5th Symphony.
