The Space Science Center’s Star Theater MSU Night programs for February will feature events and music from the past. The Star Theater MSU Night occurs on Thursday, February 20th with "Dawn of the Space Age" at 6:00 pm followed “Laser Magic" at 7:00 pm and finally "Laser Beatles" at 8:00 pm.
6:00 pm – DAWN OF THE SPACE AGE Dawn of the Space Age" covers the important American and Russian space history as from Sputnik and Voshkod, through Gemini, Apollo and Shuttle programs. Along the way are glimpses of the Viking mission to Mars and the Voyager mission to the outer planets. The program also takes you to the International Space Station, the X-prize winning private space ship and on to future Mars exploration. Witness the drive, passion, and heroism of the Men and Women that took part in these death defying endeavors and their perseverance to explore, in Dawn of the Space Age.
7:00 pm – Laser Magic Laser Magic offers a great mix of music, from those you love to those you have forgotten, all presented in concert with stunning laser images! This musical compilation is fun for the entire family and includes artists like Joan Jett, The B-52’s, Will Smith, The Blackhearts and much more. It's musical fun for the whole family! 1. 8:00 pm – Laser Beatles The greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll band of all time!
