The Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea will close at 5 p.m. Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and will be closed all day on Christmas Day, Dec. 25. The center will re-open at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, and will be open regular 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. hours the rest of the week, providing visitors with a great opportunity to find exciting Kentucky-made gifts and enjoy a meal at the Artisan Cafe. The center is a wonderful place to join friends, gather for lunch and shop for Kentucky Proud foods and Kentucky-made artisan works.
Convenient to visitors throughout the year, the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea is located at 200 Artisan Way, just off Interstate 75 at Berea, Exit 77. The centerís exhibits, shopping and travel information areas are open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the cafe is open 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission is free.
The center currently features works by more than 700 artisans from more than 100 counties across the Commonwealth. A special exhibit, ďCapturing the Art of Sport: Works by Kentucky Artisans,Ē is on display through Feb. 22, 2014. The center lobby features an 18-foot Christmas tree decorated with sports-themed ornaments and gifts.
