Riverview at Hobson Grove is pleased to present "Victorian Skills For Young Ladies and Gentlemen," a series of workshops for children ages 8 to 12. Nancy Baird, past Kentucky History Specialist of the Kentucky Library at WKU, will lead each of the workshops to be held at the historic house museum. Participants will learn a traditional Victorian hand craft and create a memento to take home. Each of these workshops is limited to a specific number of participants, so reservations are required. $5 each. All tools and materials are provided for each workshop.
Wednesdays, October 16 & 30 at 3:30pm -- Knit a Scarf. A two-day knitting workshop for children ages 8 to 80 who will learn to make a scarf using knitting needles. Knitting was originally a male-only hand craft occupation and is derived from the word knot. A variety of different knitting stitches will be taught. Just in time to make a warm scarf for the cool weather!
