Seals in the BalticSeveral countries border the Baltic Sea. They are Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Poland, Germany, and Denmark. We're looking for an island IN the Baltic, though. Its main town is Visby, said to be the best-preserved medieval town in all of Scandinavia. A centuries-old stone wall encircles the city. From Visby, you can take a ferry west, to mainland Sweden. If you want to go EAST -- to Latvia -- you're looking at an OVERNIGHT ferry ride. Those are the closest travel options for residents of this island -- the biggest in the middle of the Baltic Sea. Name it, and we'll take you there.
