Negative Ads My Hurt Challenger In the 9th District
(2008-08-07)
(WKNO) - Presidential candidate Barack Obama and MSNBC Countdown host Keith Olberman recently criticized ninth Congressional District candidate Nikki Tinker for her negative campaign practices. After visiting nine precincts throughout the district today, voters expressed overwhelming support for the incumbent Steve Cohen.

John Malmo, marketing consultant and chairman of Archer-Malmo Advertising, says typically voters will vote against someone rather than for someone; however, Nikki Tinker's case is different. Whether or not the recent add attacking congressman Cohen helped or hurt Nikki Tinker's attempt at the Ninth Congressional seat will be unknown until after the polls close at seven this evening. Nikki Tinker's campaign was unavailable for comment.
