It's fascinating how many advertisers carefully watch how much they spend and where they spend it, how they are consumed with how it looks and sounds, but pay little attention to what the advertising actually says. After more than fifty years in advertising, I'm still amazed at how much advertising I see and hear every day that is ill-conceived and breaks the fundamental rules.
