While fewer people are reading daily metro newspapers, college newspapers enjoy an eighty-two percent readership of students on their campuses. That's twice the average of the daily metro newspaper. With fewer people reading, and with advertisers buying fewer ads, it's time for newspapers to adapt. Stop being yesterday's newspaper, and learn to succeed even with new types of competition.
