A group of Southern Illinois University graduate students is helping to develop plans and models for the Urban Renewal project in Paducah. The students are a part of an eight week summer class that requires the completion of two projects focusing on Paducah's Fountain Avenue neighborhood. The course requires students to work as teams to provide proposals, 3D computer models, and cost estimates on rehabilitating four homes in that area, as well as developing plans for a multi-use building project. The students are coordinating with Paducah's Planning Department.
